E2 Visa Overview

Hi! In today's video I am going to explain what it is the E2 Investor Visa in general lines.

This category is for foreign entrepreneurs of some nationalities willing to invest in a new or existing business in the US. After having invested or being in the process of investing a substantial amount of capital, they can be granted the visa which will allow them to live, develop and direct the US Enterprise for a period up to five years depending on the nationality of the investor.

This is a non-immigrant Visa, but a very good aspect is that it can be renewed indefinitely as long as the company meets the renewal requirements, which are mainly profitability and jobs creation. Moreover, the E2 Visa can also be extended to the investor’s family: spouse and unmarried children under 21.

The E2 visa has some specific requirements we will address in the next video, but for many people it’s a feasible option to be able to live in the US through a business investment. Just so you know, in the last years, the US Government had issued more than 40 thousand E2 Visas per year.
