E2 & EB5 INVESTOR VISAS

E2 Visa

The E2 Visa allows a national of a country which the United States maintains a treaty of commerce and navigation to be admitted to the nation when investing a substantial amount of capital in a U.S. business.

Some of the requirements: the applicant must invest a substantial amount in the business (the recommendation is to consider at least US$ 100,000), must have control of the company owning at least 50% of it and the enterprise must not be marginal, with good perspective to generate considerable profit and create jobs.

EB5 Visa

EB5 Visa allows foreigner entrepreneurs, their spouses and unmarried children under 21, to apply for a Green Card (permanent residence) to live in the US through business investment.

Some of the requirements: plan to create or preserve 10 permanent full-time jobs for qualified U.S. workers and, at present, the minimum qualifying investment is US$ 1.8 million or US$ 900,000 if it is in a Targeted Employment Area (High Unemployment or Rural Area).
